Digital images are wonderful, but there is something special about your photographs being printed, framed and displayed. I recently realised I didn't even have one of my images on my own walls at home! So I remedied that and have 11 others for sale here at Kimnat Little Market & Cafe in Woombye, Qld. Come and have a look and grab a something to eat and drink while your there!

It's hard to tell from this photo, but this fern frond is huge! It was much larger than my hand and stood about 1 and a half metres from the ground. I found it on a rainforest walk in the Botanic Gardens.

Our little Scarlet Honeyeater has returned and he brought friends! We now have 4 little daily visitors spending the entire time in this tree. They are so entertaining I enjoy watching them more than photographing them at the moment.

We have a local wetland that now has a bird hide! I wasn't able to stay long but it's going to make bird photography there a bit easier and in closer proximity to the birdlife. On my quick visit this Australasian Grebe paddled by. I hadn't seen one anywhere else before.

I'm pretty sure this is an Eastern Reef Egret (also known as the Blue Heron). At first glance, as he walked briskly through the shadows of the rock pools, I thought he might have been a White-faced Heron (minus the white face 😁) but he was a lot larger and being quite elusive. He kept dashing off so I figured I wasn't going to get a good shot, but then he jumped up on a couple of rocks, turned and posed for a few minutes. Very helpful!

Now that our Magpie family are no longer here, we are getting an array of new visitors. Mainly wrens, finches and this little Scarlet Honeyeater who is enjoying the plentiful bottlebrush blossoms growing at the moment.
