Silos at sunset

Just processed a shot taken on the weekend whilst up at Sea Lake. A simple 4 portrait pano with a sky replacement added.

Still learning new methods but happy with this attempt.

Now onto processing my astro shots......

Chasing and seeing an Aurora has been on my bucket list for years and years.

I just recently came back from a trip to Tassie where I had high hopes to view and capture one but alas, it did not happen

But luckily, Saturday night was a lifetime event to remember. I was amazed to witness nature’s masterpiece and watch as the sky turned into some exquisite colours!

Along with (I think) every Victorian, we all raced to various locations to be amazed at the lightshow nature was putting on.

A night to remember for sure.

It’s finally here. I have been waiting for this bad boy for just under 2.5 years, since first backing it on . Multi level pano here I come. I have now found my spark again (post COVID lockdowns)

Another Milkway shot over Murchinson Gap. This time it’s a stacked image (9 images) to reduce noise in the sky using sequator.

Unfortunately I did not get a chance to light paint the foreground so that’s going to be noisy.

Milkway with a bit of misty fog thrown in over the valley of a thousand hills.
My first vertical pano (4 shots) with lots chopped out as it didn’t go to plan. Not perfect but we all learn as we go.
EOSR 16-35mm f2.8 @ iso 3200 .

Finally got around to testing my new camera out. Had it sitting in the box since Black Friday sales as I knew I had to take time to set it up properly (and actually learn all the features).

That said, I think I’m gonna love it. Now need some subjects that dont complain about having their shots taken.

Must try it out with some Xmas lights

Catching a glimpse of a majestic sunset whilst visiting old and new friends at a beautiful countryside retreat.

Thanx for the invite to a wonderful afternoon/evening spent with like minded people who share the same passion in photography.

Spent some time in Melbourne CBD this afternoon, doing what I love, taking pictures.

Despite the rain, it was a perfect environment for black and white photography as I managed to capture St Paul’s Cathedral, sans people.

Many shots to process but this was a quick iPhone shot.
