I recently stayed at The Tasman Hotel in Hobart. It’s a magnificent adaptive reuse of buildings that date from the 1840s till the 1930s. I was so happy to see the government office block so unsympathetically built behind Parliament House in the 1960s demolished to make way for the new Parliament Square project. Project Architects . St Joseph’s Cathedral, Hanoi, Vietnam. Designed in 1884 the cathedral is in the Gothic revival style based on the Notre Dame, Paris. It is named after St Joseph, the patron saint of Vietnam. The church serves as the cathedral to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vietnam.

A very touristy thing to do in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is to walk the Van Gogh trail featuring some of his most well known works and visit the asylum where he lived for a year. Leaving our bikes in the grounds we then did the two hour climb to the top of “the rock with two holes” in the Alpilles nature park.
