Part of my CEO (Chief Experience Officer) role with involves fundraising for , our not-for-profit partner, through our โRaise the Worldโ movement - helping community tourism thrive in the places we visit and support Project 300, a mission to uplift 300 community tourism enterprises by 2030.
We have a May 1 to April 30 fundraising period, during which a target is set by our Founder, Bruce P**n Tip, along with Regional and Individual targets, all feeding into each other for the greater good.
๐ฏ 2025-2026 Global target was set at $500,000 USD, which was exceeded. So Bruce raised it to $600,000 USD. That target was smashed ๐ฑ Raise the World raised over $700,000 USD ๐ฑ๐ฏ๐๐๐ผ
๐ฏ Oceania initially set a target of $10,000 USD, but that was also exceeded and was raised to $15,000 USD. We exceeded that and raised over $16,000 USD ๐ฑ๐ฏ๐๐๐ผ
๐ฏ My personal target was initially $2,000 USD, but after exceeding that I raised it to $3,000 USD. Iโm very happy to report I finished the fundraising period with a total of $3,353 USD raised ๐ฑ๐ฏ๐๐๐ผ
What an amazing result!!
Well this has also resulted in an announcement from the global team earlier today, regarding 30 lucky global CEOs, who as a result of their hard work and dedication, have been rewarded with a ticket to GX Cambodia in September.
GX is G Adventures global travel event, the ultimate celebration of community tourism, which is hosted in a different country each year that G supports through travel.
I was one of those lucky 30 ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฑ O M G ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฑ Cambodia ๐ฐ๐ญ here I come in September!!
But before then, our new fundraising period has begun. So Iโve kicked off my fundraising with an initial donation and set a new fundraising target of $5,000 USD ๐ฏ
