Good Afternoon to all of my followers.

Well I have come home to a wonderful surprise in my email this afternoon. I have officially been nominated as "Best Photographer of the Year" by the Women in Fashion annual Long Lunch for 2026.

This year it has been brought to you by Pitcher Partners.

I am truly thankful to whoever has nominated me for this award. This is something that I have never expected, as photography for me is not just a job, but a passion for the fashion industry. I have photographed many fashion shows over the years, Ravishingfashionistas, QStyle Runway, Designer Q, Toowoomba Fashion Festival, Radiance Runway, Australia Sunburst Pageants, Face of Australia Queensland, just to name a few.
I have worked with many designers and models over the years and had grown a love for the fashion industry.

This nomination isnt just for me, but for the many talented designers, models, volunteers, sponsors and events that I have photographed through my camera lens.

I am very much thankful for the opportunity of this nomination.
I am looking forward to the future of the fashion industry, not just here in Brisbane, but on a national and international scale. Maybe oneday I can fulfil my dream of photographing at fashion shows in New York or overseas as an international fashion photographer.

Good evening everyone,

It is that time of the year again, where the Toowoomba Fashion Festival is less than 24 hours away.

AKP Photography will be there as part of the media crew tomorrow.
