This is the family I grew up in.

In this family I knew that, no matter what, I was loved. And safe.

A mother who would always listen, no matter what.

A father who would come to my rescue, no matter what.

And a brother I could get into secret mischief with (which, looking back, was quite vanilla as far as ‘naughty’ goes).

So blessed and grateful for what I do have.

And had so much fun whipping out the camera on the occasion of my mum’s 60th (pretty good for a camera self-timer, hey?). The one who holds us all together. Because at the end of the day that’s what us mothers were made for. And I hope and pray that one day I can enjoy the family I create, with generations to follow my own kids.

Its been a year since we snapped these Newborn photos of sweet Elsie,

Yep, she turned one this week. And she has gotten even cuter (believe it or not!)

We celebrated with cake smash. So grateful for families who trust me over and over again to document their lives.

Time never ceases to amaze me.
