This session represents everything family photography should be (swipe to read)
Full of real moments. Throughout this session we were talking about some of the sweet little things that babies do, and one of those being how they put their fingers in our mouth and how it is believed that is a sign of them trying to give back to us since we give so much to them I love that we captured that in this session.
Dad taking part. Honestly, these days it should be a given, that dad is also at the heart of the family. And so genuinely when dads aren’t taking part, I am quite surprised. But this session was so much filled with playfulness and jokes and I love that dad was captured in a way that was true to him.
No pressure to smile at the camera. Because the best smiles come when you are just hanging out and just being yourselves.
Little Inbetween moments. That half giggle, wiping the smile off your face, and the sand off your feet.
Photos of you all together. Of course, throughout the session, I’ll be getting photos of just you and your little ones, photos of dad and little ones and all the different combinations. But to truly capture a family with every single member in it in a way, which is so authentic them is my true goal. Because it’s your goal.
How are you fit. Noticing how you all fit together in your completely unique way. Because you are a jigsaw puzzle that is like no other family out there. You move a certain way, you hold each other a certain way. And it’s all you, I can’t photograph you like any other family because you are not like any other family. You are you.
Moment stretched in golden light. Because lighting is that little magical element which brings it all together.
Epic moments. Where you melt into the backdrop and are part of the landscape.
Just you and your partner. Photos of the two of you because how often do you get those any more?
Taking it all in. Moments of awe. Moments of wonder. Moments that feel bigger than you.
Movement. Whether it’s your dress flowing in the ocean breeze. The waves rolling in the background, all the way that you caress your baby’s cheek. Movement tells the story.
