I’ve finally had enough time to stitch together the 2025/26 harvest video!

Last years harvest was really long and for the first time in 38 years ran into January. We had put in more crop than any other year, and thanks to some late rain in August after months of dry weather the crop ended up yielding really well.

There were some machinery changes this harvest from last, with the addition of a new 41T Elmer's HaulMaster chaser bin and a New Holland CR8.90 harvester with a 60ft Midwest front!

We’ve just recently had 70mm of rain so we have started spraying the summer weeds. Unfortunately it means work has been starting very early in the morning.

Seeding is finally finished!!

This year’s seeding started out with a massive rain! Around 90mm marked a very good start to the season, meaning we seeded more land than ever before at a total of just over 13,200 hectares or 32,600 acres.

Unfortunately, that good rain quickly dried up and we didn’t get anymore rain for the rest of seeding other than a couple of drizzles here and there. There is more rain on the horizon so hopefully we get that to set up the crop nicely for a good year.

This also marked the first year for both the Eagle Seeding bar as well as the Case IH Quadtrack 715 tractor. We were happy with how they both performed.

Fingers crossed the crops come up well and it ends up being a good season.

I will have videos of both the plowing we did pre seeding as well as a seeding video itself within the next few weeks. For now, enjoy some of the photos I took along the way in the gallery on my website;

This post marks the start of my journey into the commercial aspect of Swift Drone Photography. From the beginning, my goal was to sell photos that I take along my journeys with my drone, but I am now expanding to provide commercial services, mainly focused around mapping, surveying and monitoring of activities in areas such as construction sites and real estate.

The biggest change is the purchase of my newest drone, the DJI Air 3S.

This drone is perfect for the services I want to provide, with the two high quality cameras, obstacle avoidance and automation features it is perfect for mapping and capturing high quality scans and images.

I do not want this to detract from the photography aspect though. I will still be capturing my journeys, creating montages of moments and in general having a fun time with my drone photography stuffs.

Finished getting ready for seeding! 🌱🚜

Here are some photos taken from the ploughing done in preparation for seeding. This is done to make the land easier to seed through as well as to remove some of the weeds so that they don't get stuck in the seeder bar.
