Espeon Willow - Pokémon AR Photography

Espeon Willow - Pokémon AR Photography page to re-post my Pokémon Go photography and edits from my Instagram account. Of course I welcome anyone to enjoy my photos on here!

I mainly created this page because I have friends who don't use Instagram who wanted to see my Pokémon photos. As I'm not on Facebook very often, if you need to contact me, please do so via my Instagram account.

Rookidee Community Day ~ Corviknight

Ominous clouds follow overhead as Corviknight flies low.

༻♥༺

Going for a more dark / creepy look with my Community Day photos this time around. This filter is Stranger Things vibes.

My original plan was to try and do liminal photos but the area I went to didn’t have too many liminal spaces - and the spaces I did spot had people (liminal spaces need to be empty and trying to line up a Pokémon photo can take a bit of time so unfortunately with people around it would have been difficult to get an appropriate shot).

Although this one probably is the most liminal of the three I posted.

~Happy Birthday Professor Willow~

This group of Gholdengo are celebrating Professor Willow’s birthday with him. They have balloons and want to take him to get cake.

But are they really Gholdengo? Since Professor Willow no-clipped into The Backrooms not everything is what it seems . These are aren’t Gholdengo. They’re Partygoers!

Get out of there Professor! They want to take you to level Fun! And that won’t be any fun at all.

༻♥༺

When j noticed that Gholdengo looked like it could be a regional variant to the Backrooms entity, the Partygoers, I just had to do a crossover edit. And even more of a perfect opportunity with it being Professor Willow’s Birthday!

These shots were actually taken on Spheal Community Day in 2022. Over 2 years later, I finally get a chance to post them (I was going through an inactive period on here at the time but still took photos on Community Day).

“While visiting a historical cave site, I discovered a giant door equipped with a set of strange unlocking mechanisms! The team leaders and I have some hypotheses as to how to unlock it, but we’re still unsure as to what may lie beyond. Pretty exciting, wouldn‘t you say?

Let‘s explore this relic from the past as we ponder our own heritages! I have a feeling we’ll learn much more about this particular location over the coming months as we seek to solve these mysteries together. What can we learn from the histories of places, Pokémon, and even our fellow Trainers that will shed light on our future? Let’s GO find out!”

—Professor Willow, Season Introduction

This is also the beginning of a new series of images. As each story tie-in is released, I’ll be creating a new image that relates to the story. I have a couple to catch up on, but I’ll get them up soon!

For the introduction, I chose to use the official image, but as if Professor Willow was closer to the camera. The Pokémon used are the main three for each month of the season, a couple found in mountain environments for the season (I thought Daramanitan would be in this environment too if Darumaka wasn’t an egg hatch).

Watch out! As this little guy will bite your ankles and not let go!

I found him hanging out on some rocks during my walk so was careful not to get too close. I don’t want my ankles nibbled!!!

Although I will be posting a Professor Willow edit for this week’s theme soon, I had some photos I’d never posted of Trapinch so figured this would be the perfect opportunity to use them. 😊

Season of Mischief :: Misunderstood Mischief - Full Special Research Dialogue Video

Pokémon GO’s first ever season Special Research saw us not only discover more about the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa, but also had Professor Willow join us for many of the events that took place during the season.

•❅────────•❅●❅•────────❅•

This video comes in at over 15 minutes! That’s a lot of dialogue. I hope you enjoy reminiscing this season with Professor Willow.

What was your favourite part of the Season of Mischief? Feel free to leave a comment. 😊

What would happen if a Pokémon which has electricity coming out of its body stood in water? Would it fizzle out. Or would it’s electrical current increase to compensate.

Professor Willow was surprised to find not one, but two Electabuzz “enjoying a bath” recently. Usually found around power plants or high places acting as a lightning rod, these Pokémon were VERY out of place!

One of Professor Willow’s favourite things to do is to spend time observing Pokémon in their natural habitats. He enjoys visiting the different regions and studying the Pokémon that are native to the area.

Recently he spent some time in one of the lush forests of the Kanto area and interacted with many of the native species first-hand. The wild Pokémon seemed to sense that he is a kind and gentle person who loves and cares about all Pokémon species.

“Brrrrr!!!!! It’s so cold Meltan!” Professor Willow said as his buddy shivered up against him on his shoulder.

Professor Willow had parked his 4WD and was walking towards an icy lake where he had heard about a colony of wild Piplup. He wasn’t used to the cold though. Even with a puffer jacket on over his lab coat he still could feel the icy winds.

As he got closer to the lake he thought he could hear sounds that were possibly the Pokémon he was here to see.

He was delighted to see that he was right a couple of minutes later. For there were a small group of four Piplup just a few metres up ahead. They looked like they were all having a conversation, standing in a semi-circle and making chirping sounds. One particular Piplup – a shiny one – kept puffing its chest out. It seemed to be the proudest of the group and wasn’t afraid to show it.

As he looked further beyond the shore, he could see more Piplup swimming in the lake (he thought to himself that he wouldn’t want to be in that water!). And there on the ice in the distance were a Prinlup and Empoleon. Two very proud Pokémon.

He turned his attention back to the closer group of Piplup, almost forgetting how cold he was!

Even though I live in a capital city, we have many lovely parks to enjoy. A favourite place to go is Queens Park. When weather is nice, it’s a popular place for families to picnic and for people to take walks.

It is also where me and my best friend often meet up for Community Day. Not only does the park have a great walking circuit (lots of Pokestops and a few gyms), it also has many gorgeous spots for photos - including this small lake pictured here. Many of my Community Day photos are taken here as the park has several gardens that have a different look to them.

Entry for this week’s //

I felt that this theme is much more suited to AR photos rather than edits. But I still wanted to include Professor Willow. So used the concept I came up with when running my own theme - overlaying Professor Willow and a Special Research dialogue line on top of an AR photo (still not sure whether to include these in my as those are always full edits).

Misunderstood Mischief

“That’s when I realized that Trevenant was harvesting berries from the nearby trees to feed the Phantump! Trevenant is known to offer great kindness to forest-dwelling Pokémon and it was lovely to witness it myself.”

Professor Willow witnesses an act of kindness during the season long Special Research story. I loved this line as it showed the kindness of Pokémon and Professor Willow’s reaction to it (previously he had noticed something unusual about the tree and had gone to investigate).

What is the Professor Willow Project?
This is an idea I came up with to create AR edits based around past or current Special Research storylines. The edit may be inspired by events or specific dialogue from the story and I choose a line of dialogue to represent this.

I am also open to collabs if people want to get involved and show Professor Willow some love! Or if you have some ideas for one you’d like me to do, let me know!

Professor Willow was meeting with a group of trainers from a local circus troupe. They had agreed to show him their group of very agile Chimchar. Usually found on mountains and cliffs, these Chimchars had made themselves at home amongst rings and trapezes.

“Hello there!” Professor Willow called out.

“Hey, Professor! Good timing, our Chimchars are just getting started with their practice,” a sandy-haired boy said as he walked out of a brightly striped tent. “Oh and I’m Gogo,” he added.

As Professor Willow entered the tent, his jaw dropped. Around 15 Chimchar could be seen jumping, leaping, swinging — and even swimming (their tails still aflame).

Gogo clapped his hands twice and four of the Chimchar stopped what they were doing and ran over. One was a bright pinkish shiny Chimchar. They were so happy and friendly and greeted their trainer with joy.

“This is my little troupe,” Gogo said. “There are four of us trainers here and the other Chimchar are theirs.” He clicked his fingers and moved his arm towards Willow and the Chimchars ran over to him.

Professor Willow beamed and felt a wave of excitement. For he had never met Chimchar this friendly. And had never had them all climb over him (he WAS a bit concerned about the flames but they were climbing in a way which caused the flames not to touch him). He was a happy Pokémon Professor indeed and this would be a moment he’d cherish!

•❅────────•❅●❅•────────❅•

//

Felt that I’d get Professor Willow to see Pokémon in a different kind of setting this time. And Chimchar seem like they’d go well in a circus with their acrobatics and antics.
