I had the conversation with a client yesterday, an it made me giggle 😜 which got me wondering…

These images needed to be visually clean, allow themselves to be photoshopped and superimposed easily onto external promotional flyers and overall be flexible as imagery.

From over 400+ photos taken, their selection gallery was crafted down to about 80 intentional moments and they’ve chosen 16 images to use universally ✨📸

I’m a branding photographer, and I’m here to remind you that you CAN be a badass businesswoman… AND a mum 😎

So many of the small businesses I’ve worked with or connected with actually STARTED during pregnancy or maternity leave 💡

I’m constantly inspired by the way women problem solve, multitask, and build businesses while little hands are reaching for the phone or the 💻 laptop 😂

Because ideas don’t end just because your priorities change.

There aren’t always clear lines between chapters of life; motherhood, business, family, ambition. Why choose? Celebrate it all. It may not always be easy, but who wants easy anyway? 😂

“I just changed my hair 😂 I need to book with you again”

One of the reasons people enquire about branding photos that always makes me giggle, but there’s another (deeper) reason why I get so excited over these messages ✨

Sometimes it’s the haircut.
Sometimes it’s the new colour.
Sometimes it’s the fact that you’ve gone brunette for winter after years of being blonde.

But often, it’s something deeper.

We talk about photos being outdated when they’re years old.
But photos don’t have to be old for you to have outgrown them.

Your business has evolved.
Your confidence has grown.
Your style has changed.
The way you show up has shifted.
And suddenly that profile photo isn’t introducing people to who you are now.

It’s introducing them to a version of you you’ve left behind.

So what passes faster?
Time? Or your growth?

(Also, shoutout to hairdressers. You’re responsible for at least 30% of my bookings 😂)

Sometimes I forget how long I’ve been photographing for 😂 but those earlier years were honestly the most fun, CREATIVE and uncertain 📸

As I’m finding more time for my passionate business I am seriously looking to reignite this era 💗💕

Is it time to bring back the creative, studio and fabric flowing vibes ???!!✨🎉

Did this one stump you?

Most people can tell me their job title, star sign, favourite hobby, or where they live.

But ask them who they are beneath all of that… and suddenly it’s a much harder question.

The thing is, we’ve been taught to describe ourselves through labels.

Teacher.
Photographer.
Mum.
Business owner.

But those things are what you do, not who you are.

When you strip away the small talk, what’s left?

Your values.
Your attitudes.
Your beliefs.
The way you make people feel.

That’s where your personal brand lives.

And whether you’re building a business, creating content, or simply trying to show up more authentically online, the same question applies:

Who are you when all the labels are removed?

For me, it’s curiosity.
It’s authenticity.
It’s finding the beauty in the unscripted moments.

Because the things that make you uniquely you are often the same things that make your brand memorable.

So I’ll ask again…
