Don’t watch if squeamish!

It’s good practice to inspect the diet of the gamefish you’re attempting to catch. This one was full of pilchards and Sauries. Sadly also small amount of plastic packaging had also been consumed.

A shame to see this becoming more common.

Catching these guys out of home will never get old for me. As a kid to see a tuna off Westernport was just a dream. Now we have a regular run of both smaller school fish and these bigger models. I was lucky enough to crank this one in with on the wheel and Mason on the leader / gaffs. This fish was looked after immaculately by super decky Mason and is going to make amazing eating. 🍽️

This morning I stopped in to see the good folk at who have just received stock of the newly released .fish Ledge Runner lures.

Pretty cool bit of gear with 3 x tow points and some serious terminal tackle. These will be a big hit with our Tuna fishery. What are your thoughts?

Thanks to for the guided tour out of Gladstone yesterday.

We had a small gap in the weather and sent it out wide to sample some of the local reef fishing. I had a ball doing some slow pitch jigging and Tom sent big baits to the bottom.

A cool experience will be awesome to come back and give it a proper crack!

Sword mission success! Solo fished yesterday and landed a 96.5kg beast on the last drop, then reeled it in and towed it 14 miles back. Big thanks to for the assist with photos and transport in the final stretch to the gantry just before dark. Put the new wind ons through test ⚔️✅

After a few quiet months with our trusty vessel off the water for a well-earned refit, she’s finally back where she belongs.

The upgrade to a brand-new powerplant, fresh clears from our mates at covers and the awesome new flooring from the team at have completely transformed the boat.

We put everything to the test with a shakedown run over the weekend — and we couldn’t be happier. Performance, comfort, and looks… we’re absolutely loving everything about her.
