Rest in love to our beautiful mother, wife, grandmother, sister, cousin, Aunt, great-Aunt, friend and colleague - Marilyn Annette McHale (Lyons).

Aunty Mar, was my grandmothers sister but she was so much more than that to our little lane lot!
For me, she was one of the first of my Nan’s sisters who showered me with harsh love, unannounced visits and unnecessary amount of hand-me-downs. Just like any good deadly black Aunty would. πŸ˜‚πŸ₯Ή
Only having 2 boys, she treated my Mum and all her nieces like her daughters, and us her granddaughters. I always remember going Christmas Shopping with Mum and Aunty Mar, Mum always making sure to sneak in a present for Aunty Mar just to show her a little extra love ❀️‍πŸ”₯

She loved a dance, sweets, stealing off your plate, a good gamble, old country and a cheeky gossip. But she also loved her family more than anything, she spent every waking moment with atleast one of us, never wanting a true moment alone. We were everything to her, we were enough. She wanted for nothing more and she spent her last moments surrounded by everyone she loved.

We’ll forever miss your cheekiness, your cackle and your unannounced visits.
