I get asked a lot what got me into photography.

It started back in high school hiring the school camera and heading out to the local motocross track, chasing that one shot of a rider mid-air. It probably sounds cliché, but there was something about freezing a split second in time that I never got over.

That love carried me all the way through my Bachelor of Photography. funnily enough, no matter where the study took me, I kept finding my way back to the same place my uncle’s farm. A place stitched into so many of my childhood memories, and somewhere that still lives in every photo I take today.

One of my uni teachers once told me they couldn’t understand why I bothered with farm photos that they’d never get me anywhere.

But somewhere out there along the way, I’ve been trusted to photograph some of the most beautiful families and couples who’ve worked the land for generations. A bride found me because the Elders were sharing my photos around. I won a YETI esky from a photo I took at the Barmah Muster and Canon once reached out to buy one of my cow photos.

Funny old thing, life. It’s the little wins that mean the most to me 🤍

Some moments don’t need a perfect pose just a front step, a loyal dog, and the people who make a house a home. From the porch to the paddock, under those big old gum trees, this family reminded me why I do what I do. It’s never just about the photos. It’s about freezing the little details bare baby feet on timber boards, a gentle hand on a horse’s nose, the quiet magic of everyday country life. These are the stories worth keeping. 🤎

If their engagement shoot was anything to go by, this wedding is going to be full of love, laughter and wide-open country skies. Kayla and Kye, I can’t wait to be there for every moment of it.
