Kinda chic to notice the detail no one else would.

20+ years in, and I'm still the founder, the photographer, and the one packing up the gear at the end of the day and honestly? I wouldn't build it any other way. Every "yes" is intentional, every "no" protects the brand, and the ordinary always gets a little extra when I'm behind the lens.

This is what it actually looks like to run a creative business on your own terms. ✨

Save this if you're building something that's fully, unapologetically yours.

Let me tell you a story—a story of how I met Lina.

This friendship started in the most unglamorous way possible—both of our cars were stuck in a garage we thought was open till 10pm, late last year.

Needless to say, we MacGyvered our way out of said parking garage!

Two strangers, one bad assumption about parking hours, and somehow that turned into hours of talking like we'd known each other forever. Some things really do find you exactly when they're supposed to.

Since that night, this friendship has felt like it was written before we even met, and we know it was- the kind where conversation turns into reflection, and reflection turns into something that leads us closer to God.

Watching you pour yourself into becoming a counsellor has been beautiful; you give so selflessly to everyone around you. You hold space for people the way few ever learn to, and I got to hold a little bit of space for you through my lens.

Grateful for the souls that feel like home, and for parking garages with bad timing. This is one of them.

A journey with Erté Mae. 🤍
Terry and I met at RMIT, long before Erté Mae existed — and somewhere along the way, that friendship turned into a working relationship and friendship I still treasure.

As a master craftsman, Terry creates some of the most beautiful pieces I've had the privilege of photographing — designs inspired by early 1900s glamour and craftsmanship that never go out of style. Neither does this collaboration.

Some places you photograph. Others you sit in and feel.

Café Tanja is a Moroccan/Algerian cafe that feels like you just stepped into the Medina, with hand-poured mint tea, worn timber, brick pastry straight from the pan. And then there’s Sana, who greets you like you’ve always been coming here. Genuinely one of the loveliest hosts in Sydney. Every corner had a detail worth slowing down for.

Surry Hills, but for a moment it felt like a home in North Africa.

Sydney Wealth Blueprint by Force DeFem Collective — captured. 📸🎥

An evening of financial literacy, long-term wealth building, and community impact — bringing men and women together for real conversations that matter, all in support of Australia’s first faith-based rehabilitation centre.

Grateful to have been behind the lens for a night of purpose, connection, and powerful insight.

Some people count birthdays. I count light changes, seasons of clients, and the stories I’ve been trusted to hold behind a lens 📸

At 45, I’m still the same girl who fell in love with photography as a teen and was the one capturing the moments in high school. Now that love has grown into a whole creative life: weddings, brands, product shoots, and everything in between.

What I love most about this work isn’t just the “pretty,” it’s the purpose behind it. Every shoot is a little puzzle: how do we tell your story, your brand’s story, in a way that actually feels like you? Sometimes that means capturing the quiet, everyday magic — a cup of tea, a plate of fruit, a candid laugh.

Sometimes it means getting purposeful and playful with finger puppets mid-shoot because that’s exactly what the moment called for.

I get to be a conduit for so many different visual journeys: legal firms, ecommerce brands, families, couples on their biggest day, and I don’t take that trust lightly.

So that’s me, in a nutshell. Still curious. Still playful. Still chasing good light.

If we haven’t worked together yet, I’d love to hear what story you’re trying to tell 🤍

Professional imagery from ZbyZahrah are your business’s online handshake, often the very first touchpoint people see.

For a council childcare centre, crisp images of the new build highlight safe, bright learning spaces and caring staff, build parents’ confidence, and help your website and ads stand out.

Powerful visuals increase clicks, enquiries and enrolments. If your business needs branding shots or a fresh photo set, let’s chat!

Some people think my hijab is “too colourful.”
I think it reflects exactly who I am.

My hijab is part of my faith — but so is my intention, my growth, and my journey. And none of that is one-size-fits-all.

I’m learning, unlearning, and evolving every day. I show up as I am, with sincerity, with effort, and yes… with colour.

Because modesty isn’t about dulling yourself down. It’s about carrying yourself with purpose, dignity, and connection to God. Colour is my expression of that connection too- I see colour in all of creation and appreciate every single colour.

So I’ll keep wearing my colours.
And I’ll keep growing in my faith.
Happy Friday
