Hi, I'm Julia, a photographer based in the south eastern area of Melbourne specialising in child and family photography. I believe that families are eternal and they are one of the main reasons that we are put on this earth. I love meeting people. I especially love working with kids and making them smile and laugh. I love silly faces and the natural wonder of children. I love the small simple thin

Such a fun day yesterday hanging out with this awesome bride and groom and their fabulous bridal party.

Highlights of this wedding had to be the best speeches ever, with special mentions going out to the father of the groom for his interpretive dance piece, and the best man for his ukulele number!

I love nothing more than a beautiful dramatic sky! We crossed everything we had this morning in hopes that the rain would hold off long enough. Not only did it hang off (just!), but boy did it make for some stunning photos for this gorgeous family.

Yesterday I had the privilege of hanging out with these two champions.

Hannah told me she is super serious, but when she came out with a pair of rainbow runners to wear with her dress, I knew she had a fun side. These two laughed their way through their photos while pulling faces and even a piggyback ride.

Always looking for the light!

While making dinner tonight, the sun shone through a jug in front of a window and splashed a rainbow on the bench in front of me. So of course I just had to grab a daughter and play with it. I love the hope and joy that a simple rainbow can bring during times of unknown.

I am also lousy at putting myself in front of the camera so I even threw in a selfie for the fun of it 😉

I have a confession to make..... I'm kind of enjoying the quieter pace of life at the moment. Being able to spend quality time together instead of constantly being on the go between school, work, gymnastics and everything else in our crazy schedule.
I'm a bit of "glass half full" girl and always look for the silver lining in every challenge life throws at me and this together time is my silver lining.
I'm setting myself the task of capturing the every day in our home. Here's a little peek into our every day 😉

Yesterday I had the honour of photographing this gorgeous couples wedding.

The weather had been forecast to be rain (lots of) with the possibility of thunderstorms. What we actually got was the most perfect afternoon and evening. Thankyou Lee J Webber and Simon for including me in your special day x
