Rainbow Lorikeets of Burrill Lake, Ulladulla, NSW

While saying at Discovery Park Burrill Lake in Ulladulla NSW I was quite surprised by the large number of Rainbow Lorikeets that frequent this park (Birds in General but lorikeets by far the majority). They were a family favourite for sure given it was school holidays, the bird song was awesome as well.
I did manage to get some wonderful photos for these colourful and noisy birds as they congregate around the holiday park.

BLIND BIGHT SPOONBILLS MORNING

After photographing a morning sunrise at Blind Bight pier I though I’d check out the back of the car park which has a little lake and I was greeted with such a lovely, tranquil and serene sight which was food for the soul. The Royal Spoonbill birds wading through the still water as they enjoyed their breakfast, with the golden morning light was so beautiful and relaxing and was a photographer’s dream, just a perfect morning.

BLIND BRIGHT SUNRISE

I have not done the Sunrise road-trip photography shoot in a very long time. I did photographed a Blind Bright sunrise about 10 years ago and at that time the pier was wooden and old it has now been replaced with a new one but still made for a good photo.
Up at 5:30am and an hour drive to Blind Bright a small Victorian town in Australia perched on an inlet and got there just before the sun started to rise, and it didn’t disappoint me.
There’s seriously just something so awe inspiring about being up at this early time to witnessing the still waters as the subtle glow at dawn slowly awakens the morning with a golden brilliance which is so calming and cleanses the soul.

There were Seagulls, a pier, boat, clam waters, silhouettes, a clear sunrise, lots of golden brilliance and a new day.
