The most serendipitous visit to these lovely new parents! Capturing some fresh images for the boss she introduced me to these plant lovers and I was in heaven. Of course I wanted a photo of them surrounded by their forest of rare plants and had a full tour! Not only did I get to give some precious new babies 👶🏼 a squeeze that day but I was sent home with two cuttings of plants I had been searching for - plant lovers will understand the joy! 🌱

What’s your vision for your maternity shoot? Montana wanted simple, soulful, natural, meaningful. I absolutely loved her style. With every shoot I send out a short questionnaire beforehand to gather a few thoughts and ideas you might have and your feelings towards the shoot. Most people are super nervous so this helps you to relax before we even get to the session! And don’t worry if you don’t know what you want… we can work together on that! Hey instafam. It’s been a minute. This lockdown got us good over here. I was determined to make the best of it but after countless emergency room visits within a few weeks I lost my mojo. Then it kinda turned into a bit of reflection and new ideas going forward. How is everyone going? We barely survived remote learning… lockdown with small children has been really tough. We miss our family in such a big way. I guess the good thing is we will not take it all for granted again. Hugging our loved ones. A Prosecco with friends. The words “this is your captain speaking”! We want to celebrate, but there are still hard weeks and months ahead. I’m looking forward to all the families I’m going to meet soon. The lovely newborns I’m going to photograph. Business owners that need new images as we relaunch! So guys.. what did you do to survive lockdown? How are you feeling? What are you missing most? What are you looking forward to? What kept us sane… this beautiful bay at the end of our peninsula where the kids can play and have a swim on some of the gorgeous spring days we have been given. The sun sets right on this spot… lockdown heaven!! ✨
