ALL HAIL TARANTULA - I was asked to host a Dwarf lab Mini star party by Tiny Scope here are the results.

52 hours of data, 6 contributors from across Australia.

Gear - Dwarf Lab Mini
Subject- Tarantula Nebula
Settings - 30sec, 60gain, Duo-band filter, eq mode.

The first, main image, is my post processing of the combined data. Amazing what the Dwarf Lab mini can do with enough time under the stars.

Testing out the mosaic feature on the Tiny Scope Mini last night.

Tarantula Nebula
Approx 5 hour 1.8 x 1.8 mosaic
30sec
60 gain
600 frames

I also blended in a core of short exposure 2.5 sec, 5 sec, 8 sec stacks to bring some detail back.

Stacked in Astro Stacking Wizard. Post processed in Astro Wizard, Lightroom and Photoshop.

Not perfect, more a quick bit of post processing practice to see how blending in short exposures would work and test of the Mini’s mosaic feature.

Heart Nebula - My post processing of a file supplied by Tiny Scope from the soon to be released/shipped Draco.

Kind of wish I’d pre-ordered a Draco after seeing these files, the detail is amazing.

It’s incredible to think a smart telescope at it’s price point can produce images like this. 🤯

Can’t wait to see what users can capture when these are in the hands of the community 🔭
