PORTRAIT AND ARCHITECTURE PHOTOGRAPHER SYDNEY
ARCHITECTURE PHOTOGRAPHY, CORPORATE AND PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY THAT CAPTURES DESIGN, CELEBRATES PLACE AND EXPRESSES PERSONALITY

You might not think that people and buildings have much in common. There certainly aren’t many professional photographers in Sydney specialising in architecture and portrait photography. So why do we photograph both people and

architecture? Because architecture photography and portrait photography are about capturing personality, uniqueness and — often — our place in an environment. Also, working with such a diversity of subjects refreshes our creativity and forces us to approach every job with a clean frame. The main difference between architecture photography and corporate portrait photography is that the buildings don't care that we're relaxed, we're fun to work with, and we're great at showing them at their best. Concord Repatriation Hospital.
The main hospital building (currently known as the Multi Building) was one of the tallest buildings in Sydney when completed and its design won architects Stephenson & Turner the Sulman Award in 1946. The curved facade is now complemented by the new building that blends itself seamlessly with its new curves and matching terracotta and white facade tiles.

Something different from the usual architecture shoots. Tricky to capture due to the extremely high magnetism. The camera gear could be sizzled if get too close.
MRI scanners use strong magnetic waves to generate images of the organs in the body. It can be a daunting experience for some. This facility is designed to calm the patients with natural landscapes, calming videos and lighting that can be set to different moods.

1962 The Amp building opened a post war modernist design with a beautiful curved H Frame exterior. At 117 metres, it was Australia’s tallest building. Designed by Peddle Thorp & Walker (now PTW Architects).

Decades later the on the site of previous AMP Tower at 50 Bridge the bold Quay Quarter Tower is nearly completed. Part of the revitalisation of the historic Quay Quarter Precinct. Designed by Danish architects 3XN.

Surrounded by skyscrapers to captured the soft light on the western facade requires a narrow window of opportunity. Worth the effort indeed.
