The secret to getting those beautiful, genuine smiles from your little ones? It’s not about asking them to smile at the camera. 🤍
It’s about building a relationship with them first.
When little ones arrive at a photoshoot, they might be shy, unsure of me or just want to run around and explore. And that’s completely okay!
I take the time to play with them, make them laugh, get down on their level and let them warm up to me in their own time.
Because when children feel safe, comfortable and connected with the person behind the camera, that’s when their little personalities really start to shine. 🥹
Some of my favourite photos come from the moments in between. The giggles, the cheeky grins, the cuddles and those little expressions that are so uniquely them.
I’m not here to make your children sit still and smile perfectly for an hour. I’m here to capture who they are, exactly as they are, right now. 🤍
Because these are the moments you’ll want to remember forever.

Something I’ve learnt as a newborn photographer is that it’s about SO much more than taking beautiful photos. 🥹🤍

When a mum books a newborn session, she’s trusting you with her brand-new baby during such a special, but sometimes overwhelming, stage of life.

She wants to know you’ll be patient when baby needs a feed, that you’ll give her time to settle them, and that she doesn’t have to stress about what to do or whether her baby is behaving.

And that’s exactly why I love showing the little in-between moments of my sessions, not just the finished gallery.

The cuddles, the settling, the little breaks, the reassurance and all the moments that show what it’s actually like to have me there.

Because beautiful photos are important, but how you make your clients feel is what makes them remember you. 🤍

Second babies really do get a different experience 😂🤎

Trying to get that peaceful sleepy newborn photo while their older sibling is running around, asking questions and causing chaos 😂
