There are only a handful of people in the world with the ability to light your soul with just one note, and no microphone. My words can do no justice to the experience of feeling, hearing and witnessing the power of one of those voices. None other than Portuguese beauty and soulful songstress, Mariza.

Performing a free concert earlier in July at Vila Nova de Gaia in Porto, Portugal, Mariza was accompanied by the Orquestra Sinfonietta do Porto (Porto Symphony Orchestra) and Maestro, Jaques Morelenbaum. Celebrating 25 years since performing alongside the Lisbon Symphony Orchestra in Lisbon, at the Torre de Belém Gardens.

I only hope that the images I was blessed enough to capture, can move you the way only Mariza's voice can.

I sincerely would like to thank Mariza and the entire team that it took to put together such a beautiful evening and providing such an unforgettable opportunity and experience that is now forever etched in my soul. I am forever grateful 🙏 x

The 30+ hours of travel from Perth to Lisbon, and 3 hour train ride to Porto was definitely worth it 🤣
