Cherry blossoms are SO pink and fluffy this year 🌸 I'm loving being able to enjoy them right here without having to do the long drive to the orchards. How convenient 😁

And when I tell you they're VERY seasonal… I mean it 😂 I genuinely don't know if these beauties are going to survive next week because the winds are absolutely WILD right now 🥲🌬️

Sometimes I arrive for a photoshoot and look at the cherry blossom trees and think: "Yep, I need to plant a few of these in my backyard" 🌸

Then I look down and see approximately million little petals covering the ground and realise I'd theoretically have to broom all of that up…

And suddenly I no longer need cherry blossom trees in my backyard😂😂

Thankfully, I can admire them once a year during photoshoots without having to deal with the aftermath. Everybody wins hahaha

🌸 GUYS STOP SCROLLING, the cherry blossoms are already here! 🌸
And actually … they are WAY too early this year!😳
Thanks to this unusually warm weather, the blossoms in Wellard have decided not to wait for their usual season, which means we have this rare, short lived little window to photograph them! 🌸✨

What happens if my child is shy around you?

That's totally okay! I'm not expecting them to run up to me and become my best friend within 3 seconds 😂 well, maybe 5 sounds reasonable.
Of course we'll let them warm up and play some games.

And if all else fails… Naughty Piggy will make an appearance. 🐷😂 IYKYK.

"What if my baby cries the whole time?"

Don't worry, that's completely okay! Babies cry. They might be hungry, need a cuddle, nappy change or simply have a lot to say that day 😂
There's no pressure and no rushing. We take plenty of breaks for feeding, cuddles and settling, and work completely at your baby's pace.
And if your baby does decide to protest at first, don't panic, some of my sleepiest babies have started the session with a very strong opinion about being there 😅
Your job is to bring the baby. Mine is to take care of the rest 🤍

Father's Day Minis 👨‍👧‍👦

Dad says he's "not photogenic"
Kids say: "Can we play?"

I think I've found a solution.

So… who provides the cake? 🎂

I do! ❤️
Unless your little one has an allergy or a specific dietary requirement, the cake is all sorted for you.

And if you're thinking: "Wait… is my baby really going to eat that entire giant sugary cake?" - don't worry. 😁

That's definitely not the plan!

The cake smash is so much more about the experience than eating the cake. Babies play with it, poke it, squish it, spread the icing, smash it with their hands (and sometimes a spoon 😆), kick it, throw it… and yes, they usually eat a little bit too.

And honestly, one of my favourite parts is seeing what each baby decides to do with it.

Some are incredibly gentle and delicate, carefully picking off tiny pieces like they're at a fancy afternoon tea. 😂
Some go straight in and take a bite out of the whole cake.
And some discover that spreading icing all over mum and dad is apparently the funniest thing they've ever done. 😁

There's something pretty special about watching them explore something completely new with absolutely no rules- just pure curiosity, excitement and a whole lot of messy fun.

And don't worry… I'll take care of the cake. You just bring your little one and get ready for some very entertaining memories. ❤️

Who else has noticed how different this winter has been? ☀️

We've had so many warm afternoons, the sunsets have been absolutely incredible, and the beach has been so much calmer than it usually is in summer. Less wind, beautiful golden light... honestly, it's one of my favourite times of the year for family photos.

One thing I hear all the time is:
"But isn't it too late for the kids? They'll be tired"

I get it ❤️

But here's the thing... my sessions aren't about asking little ones to stand still and smile at the camera. We play games. We run. We laugh. We go on little adventures. I have plenty of silly tricks to keep them engaged from start to finish, so they don't have time to think about being bored.

Most parents are surprised by how smoothly the session goes and how much fun their kids actually have.

Years from now, your children won't remember being asked to smile for a photo...
They'll remember that evening at the beach when Mum and Dad came to play with them, laugh with them, cuddle them, and watch the sunset together.

And those are the memories worth keeping 🤍

‼️Breaking news: I have returned‼️

We've just spent the last few weeks driving around Belgium, Scotland, England and Ireland... and I still can't believe some of the places we saw.
Castles (obviously 😂), cliffs that don't even look real, tiny medieval streets, endless green landscapes and views that made us pull over every five minutes. Safe to say my camera roll is slightly out of control. 😅
But... I'm back! ❤️
The camera batteries are charged, my calendar is open again, and I can't wait to see all your beautiful families.
One little warning though... you know me. Holidays have a terrible habit of making me book the next one. 😂 So if you've been thinking, "We really should book family photos", don't wait too long... before I disappear again. 😅
