So this happened last night….
Entered two photogravure prints for the first time, won the award for emerging artist and have sold both, thanks to the purchasers, very happy they are going into good homes.
Also thanks to Gail Meyer for taking these photos and receiving the award on my behalf as I couldn’t get there in person.
Also a big thanks to Katrina at Banana Shire Gallery for all the hard work she did getting this festival underway and making everything so easy to navigate.

Last day to view Capricornia Printmakers CQ annual exhibition Wednesday 14th Oct.
My two photogravure exhibits ‘Study of feathers’ and the bird it was photographed from - a Black-breasted Buzzard titled ‘Untamed’ are waiting patiently for you to see them.
Please come along between 10am and 2pm for a final viewing of all the wonderful WiLD THINGS in this printmaking exhibition.
I will actually be there in the gallery with our esteemed President on roster and waiting for the crowds to arrive.

‘Nature’s resilient whispers’ now open in Cunnamulla. I am a bit slow in posting this as I travelled the next day to Thargomindah and down to Kilcowera Station, so not a lot of time.
I am very grateful for my fellow exhibitors Kate Lacy and Tracey | Artist + Life Coach + Teacher who are wonderful human beings and very talented artists.
If you happen to be in Cunnamulla in the next month or so, please go and visit. Meanwhile I will show a few pics of our opening night and some of my works.

Red-capped Robin, Bowra Wildlife Sanctuary.
Have just spent a few days at Bowra, it was amazing and saw lots of birds that I have never seen before, so happy as.
One of them was this Red-capped Robin, we looked high and low for three mornings and then on the third morning (well it was nearly midday) we spotted this one. The light was harsh, it was about 35 degrees so lots of heat haze, sooo it’s a tad soft. But had to post it, as it was on my list of must see birds for the trip.

Exhibition nearly on its way to Cunnamulla!!
About to hit the road and head south with regional artists Sally North, Kate Lacy and Tracey Hewitt.
We are excited to install our work at Cunnamulla Art Gallery and of course we will visit Bowra Wildlife Sanctuary while we are there for a spot of birding.

Nature’s Resilient Whispers Exhibition gives a nod to how nature constantly tries to bounce back in the face of human interaction. We certainly put some pressure on our wildlife and ecosystems, and it has a way of reminding it’s there for a reason, and when it’s not, we won’t be either.
