I live for moments like this…

The ones where the camera disappears and you forget anyone is watching.

Where you run barefoot through the grass, dance like kids again, laugh until your cheeks hurt and simply exist together… wild, free and completely yourselves.

That’s the magic we chase in elopements.

The in-between moments. The messy hair, happy tears, uncontrollable laughter and the feeling of being so in love you forget the world around you for a second.

Because years from now those are the moments that will still feel alive.

Moments in the mountains with M&I 🤍

This elopement was so special as it was probably the last one I’ll photograph in Australian mountains 🥹

My love for mountains (and snow) came from my childhood in this mountain range. Every spring my family would go skiing and it was one of my favourite times of the year! I loved the magic of snow, the endless rolling mountains and the feeling of being small in such a vast landscape.

It’ll always hold a special place in my heart and it’s extra special that I’ve been lucky enough to capture multiple love stories up here 🤍

This day will always stay close to my heart. It was a true embodiment of how an elopement can allow you the space to be free, wild and unapologetically you… to focus on what matters most… your love.

We laughed, shared stories of the world, danced, stood in awe of the incredible landscape before us and created art together, in a wild and free way.

And if the moment couldn’t feel any more special, the sun broke between the storm clouds and we were rewarded with the most incredible sunset.

I started photography back in high school, in a dark room where we developed everything by hand. I remember being completely hooked, not just on the images, but on the feeling of them.

It reminded me of the old photo boxes at my grandparents’ house. Photos from Denmark and the Faroe Islands, filled with landscapes, memories, and little handwritten notes.

I used to sit there for hours, completely lost in them and in the lands far away.

That’s the thing about photography… it connects us.
To the people we love, the places they’ve been, and the moments we never want to forget.

Lately, Linden and I have been coming back to that feeling.
The raw, tactile beauty of film. It’s why we’ve started incorporating film and Polaroids into our elopements.

So that when you get home, you have something to hold. Something to share. Something that, in 20 years, you can pass down.

Because eloping doesn’t mean keeping it to yourselves…
It means creating something worth sharing.

I can’t believe this Costa Rica elopement was a year ago next week 🥹

This day was the embodiment of what an elopement can be. Sunrise waterfall adventures, emotional vow exchanges, embracing the wild weather and fully committing to love.

What I remember most wasn’t just how beautiful it looked (even though it was stunning!)… it was how it felt.

When the storms rolled in, Becca and Sam met it with joy and openness and somehow, the pouring rain moved around us at the exact right moment.

There was no rushing, no pressure, just space to be present, to feel everything, and to experience their day exactly how they wanted to.

And that’s the thing about eloping… it’s not about running away, it’s about choosing a day that actually feels like you!
