❤️ Every child is born a genius - R. Buckminster Fuller ❤️ Hi! My name is Eetane, I am a lifestyle photographer specialising in children portraiture.

My passion for photography started more than a decade ago when I bought my first DSLR camera. Like many new users, I was using the auto mode for a while. One random day, I discovered the wonders of natural and ambient light while photographing my daughter by a large window and hadn't looked back since. I love children and nature, and I Love Love Love the interactions between them! It is fulfilling to capture these interactive moments and preserve them forever. I am based in South Eastern Suburbs in Melbourne, if you are looking for candid children portraiture in a relaxed and fun environment, give me a buzz! :)

If my memory serves me correctly this is my 5th year back, one of the first centres that I photographed after a very long covid lock down. ❤

A family owned centre with the amazing educators and management staff, it was so lovely to be back and seeing all the familiar faces. Over the last 5 years I have had the pleasure of witnessing some wonderful life journeys such as marriage, honeymoon, new baby, and first time parenting, there's a special connection in the hearts for sure.

Blessed with dry weather again and smiles of sunshine, what's not to love? 🌞 ❤ 📸

What a wonderful centre to return to after the school holiday over 1.5 weeks ago. ❤

Blessed with lovely weather and amazing support from the educators and management, the sessions over 4 days went smoothly and fantastically, I was just so happy to be back to my element capturing the wonderous moments of childhood! 📸💕

I photographed this new campus for the first time just over a week ago. 💕

These days my new centre is usually a sister campus through the word of mouth so its no surprise to see a familiar face when I entered the centre to greet the centre manager. 🥰 It was so lovely to meet the assistant campus manager as well as all the new educators, and of course the highlight being capturing all little faces! 📸 ❤

I was back to this centre just over 1.5 weeks ago. 💕

It was so lovely to see most the educators whom I have met since I started photographing the centre. Many educators including the owner are from Malaysia which made me feel like home. 🏡

The weather was nice and the children were 100% in their element. Lots of support from educators and the manager which I am totally grateful for 🥰

Another wonderful year of return to this centre over a week ago! 💕

As I was photographing a little cutie I felt a little tap on my shoulder, it was the manager who had invited me to the staff room for food and refreshment as it was the Early Childhood Educators' Day. I have known the manager for a few years, ever since she worked in another centre, she's always so warm and caring. 🥰

This year's session went smoothly thanks to the assistant manager that was very accommodating as always with staffing and superb organisation, and educators that are amazingly nice in helping with cleaning up the faces and distracting other little ones so there are spaces around the child I was photographing.

Many hands make light work, and a great team really elevate the light! :)

Well this is where it all started. 💕

16 years ago a friend recommended a Montessori school for my 3 years old. I wasn't familar with the teaching philosophy but after attended the first day of orientation I was completely sold. Montessori education fosters the love of learning and curiousity in both of my children, not just academically but in many areas of life.

The concentration on the children faces when they are working on tasks inspired my love in photography as I captured these fleeting moments, it later became a deciding factor to transition my focus in children portraiture.

As I returned to the centre this year for the yearly session, I was grateful to spend some time with the directress, the admin manager and an educator who all played a monumental role in my children's childhood all these years ago ❤

Me: Hey lovely! Your mummy has asked me to take some beautiful photos of you so we can send them to her, are you ready?
Ms A: Yes! And I have a lipgloss!
Me: Oh cool!
Ms A with increasing excitement: I have a lipgloss!
Me: Oookayyyy, would you like to put it on for photos?
Ms A: YES! (while skip hopping to her bag inside)

The educator and I looked at each other and bursted out laughing 😂 I just love how innocent, truthful, authentic and expressive children are. 🥰 ❤ 💕

Drizzly Melbourne weather with rain on and off, with the help of all the wonderful educators and the manager we managed another year of wonderful session! ❤

Back to this centre over 1.5 weeks ago! 💕

As always loved seeing all the educators and the little faces, there's a level of warmth and connection after a few years, even though we only see each once a year. I felt at ease and at home. ❤

Delighted to photograph this centre around a week and a half ago.

This is probably the centre with the most children where I photographed them since they were babies. Some have older siblings that have started primary school, and some with now younger siblings. There's a sense of special connection. 💕

Typical Melbourne winter with drizzles on and off, we made it work with the coordination of amazing educators, centre and assistant managers. 🥰

Back to this centre for the third year just under a couple of weeks ago 💕 It was rainy most of the time so lots of extra planning, flexibility and coordination from the centre which I am grateful for.

The educators were amazing at freeing up the area undercover so we can get some lovely natural light for the images. We also utilised periodic sunshine and clouds so the little ones can be photographed in play and action. ❤
