Every day this place inspires me in a way that wakes something up from a deep place within. Seeing the landscape transform so dramatically throughout the wet season is something that’s hard for me to put into words, so here’s some photos from peak wet season which might better show how insanely beautiful and unreal Purnululu is. couldn’t believe my eyes..

For as long as I can remember, Afghanistan is a country which has sparked an intense fascination and curiosity in me - In 2025 I travelled through an Afghanistan under Taliban rule, curious about daily life in this new chapter of a country shaped by decades of conflict.. Here’s a glimpse into what I saw

excerpt from ‘Lunch With Guns’
“During my first day in Afghanistan, a Taliban soldier casually entered a local restaurant with an assault rifle slung over his shoulder. He sat at a table to eat his lunch and sip his mountain dew, and nobody even looked twice. The normality of what I had just seen was hard to comprehend, but I guessed it must just be the ordinary here.

It was the first time of many where I was left confused and unable to rationalise or make sense of an experience in Afghanistan. Very quickly it became clear to me that in this country, nothing was simply black or white. For three weeks I was stuck in a strange grey liminal space as I struggled with what the word ‘ordinary’ even meant. In a country where an entire generation of children have grown up playing on the rusted remains of Soviet tanks, ‘ordinary’ hardly feels like the right word to use. Yet true to the definition of the word, what I was seeing was just the usual. Right?” #

2025 was not something I could have ever planned for, with surprises around every corner, but what a year it’s been.. highs, lows, lessons, new realisations and perspectives, big questions, moral dilemmas, humbling reminders, sketchy situations, spectrums of emotioms and so many amazing moments . New doors opened and more confirmation for me on where I’m aiming towards. Thanks to everyone who made it epic - especially to who is always so supportive and encouraging of my wacky ideas and also doesn’t mind a bit of a wild adventure.
2026 will be massive and I’m keen for more of all this 🤠 happy new year to everyone 🎉
