Superb fairywren - when a predator gets too close to the nest, the parent birds will drop to the ground, fluff up their feathers and scurry around squeaking like a mouse to provide a diversion from the young. ♥️

Brown honeyeater are found on the Australian east coast to Bali. Because they eat mainly near, their body weight fluctuates daily. To compensate for fluids lost overnight, they can recover about half their body weight in water during just their first hour of feeding in the morning. ❤️

Juvenile Olive-backed oriole - they are often confused with female and juvenile Australasian figbirds - the fig birds have a blackish bill and distinct bare skin around the eye, whereas young oriole have brownish bill and fully feathered face. ❤️
