Feeling good getting back out visiting some of TNQ gems! This huge wall of green moss and water flowing through (+ some smaller falls) was an epic hike/adventure 16km return pretty chill for most of it until descending down to the base of the main falls which got about steep in sections but aye nothing new another day in the office šŸ˜
The main falls was pretty dry unfortunately but kinda knew it would be as we haven’t hit full wet season yet so yes bloody keen to get back out there after some good rain and see it in full flow šŸ˜ overall great mission and another beautiful set of falls.

Best seats in Townsville Fredrick’s peak!
Good ol Fred’s! was good to put the boots back on and get out there after some time off hiking, this area is known as the pinnacles with 4 peaks to explore and summit and a special place for our local rock climbers who have an awesome spot to climb called the fish bowl. Fredricks peak the most popular peak to summit out of the four is around a 4km return hike from where you can park, it rewards you with stunning views over looking Townsville city, The dam and the northern beaches and also and a few spots to camp for overnighter missions, it is accessed through private property so check before heading out ā›°ļø

Such an amazing experience climbing japans highest peak Mt Fuji, an active volcano sitting at 3776m gives you some amazing views šŸ˜
We started our mission from Tokyo in the morning 7am making our way to mt fuji. Mt fuji has 10 stations , 1st station being the base and the 10th being the summit there are paved roads up to the 5th station tho there are 4 5th stations on different sides on the mountain from where people can choose to start the climb from.
We chose the Yoshida Trail (5th station) one of the popular climbs to do, starting at 2300m we hiked up and made our way to the 7th station we’re we stayed in the mountains huts they have on Fuji, getting there around 5pm with plenty of time the watch the amazing sunset! it was an early night for and early start the next morning with 3hours to go to the summit we had to head off pretty early the beat the 430am sunrise, we set off around 1am to the summit it was tough going, hiking at night, the altitude the colder weather it was freezing! Running off very little sleep and knowing we had to still get back down in the same day šŸ˜‚ but dame! We made it the views were amazing and the experience was bloody unreal! Highly recommend doing if visiting japan .explores

Ever wander about that big waterfall in the mountains off the side of the highway between Townsville and Ingham… well this is it! normally approached from the top using ropes to canyon down but we didn’t have any of that so we thought let’s hit it from the bottom and send it up. I tell ya it ended up being pretty brutal mission but totally worth it, we have thought about this one for ages and when we finally got there.. man it was a great feeling and what a place to have lunch and swim the views were amazing! Happy to have ticked another one off the list šŸ‘Œ

venturing into the unknown and being rewarded with this beauty!
Full off grid mission, unnamed waterfall, haven’t heard of anyone getting to these falls, haven’t seen photos of it before and not knowing if we would make it or not, pushing through thick rainforest to a very long rock hop, it was just send it and best of luck šŸ¤ža good 10km and a solid 11hours, we got it done and the feeling of accomplishment was through the roof!

The sanctuary of truth ā˜®ļø
This temple was amazing (the word largest wooden castle) everything made out of timber and all hand carved it was mind blowing to see the detail put into this and still to this day the locals are still working on it which was so cool to see, pure talent šŸ˜

Pattaya Elephant Sanctuary
such a beautiful place to see these magical creatures I didn’t want to leave šŸ˜, the locals here take in these rescued elephants and give them a loving and caring home no chains no hooks no riding not forced to do performances they get to live their lives as naturally as possible the locals also live out there with them its so awesome one big happy family 🐘. It was amazing to spend time with them walking through the jungle watching them do their thing and finished it off with bathing time! Jumping in the water them was epic such an majestic creature these are memories I’ll hold on to for ever ā¤ļø

Massive off grid waterfall mission
Man this hike was something different it hit that mental game hard, what seemed to be not to bad going on the topo maps turned in to living hell, insanely dense rain forest/woodlands and a over grown creek with wait a while and spiky plants everywhere stoping us every several meters it was tough and slow going averaging 500m an hour! and as the falls is only a seasonal falls the creek and falls is unnamed the creek definitely doesn’t line up with what’s on topo maps which made it very confusing it took us 6 hours to reach the destination so time wasn’t on our side we didn’t get much time to enjoy as we would of loved to but we are taking it as a win we got it done it was a nightmare at the time but once we got out (7pm) and back home (1030pm) the feeling of achievement was amazing and I guess this is why we do this! you gotta bloody love it! Definitely one to remember and ready for the next big mission let’s go!
Stay tuned for Youtube vid of the full mission!
