Unpopular opinion incoming.
I’ve been sitting with this one for months. The whole “should we go faceless” conversation has been everywhere lately, AI, privacy, a genuinely scary legal case out of America this year, and I get why so many photographers are ready to just disappear completely and delete a ton of work.
But I don’t think that’s actually the answer.
Women and children have been edited out of public life for long enough throughout history. I don’t think disappearing again is the fix. There are new ways we can market, share our art, and protect the people in our images at the same time.
That’s where I think the real answer sits. Telling honest, connected stories, while genuinely protecting the people in them.
Swipe through for where my head’s at on this 🤍 Would love to know where you all sit too, has this shift changed how you shoot, market, or share?
Comment “faceless” and I’ll send you the link to something I’ve been working on 👇
