If you know me, you know I hate trends. I hate following the crowd. You will also know that I have a huge passion for the earth, the environment and its natural resources. You may also know that I really dislike technology, AI especially in the creative industries. So you may also have seen this AI trend of creating a picture of you in the 80s. One thing I am a huge fan of is nostalgia and advocating for the still photograph. So this 80s trend really irritated me in all the ways. Ironically most of the people I saw jumping on the trend actually existed in the 80s, just like I did. We don’t need AI to show us what we might have looked like then - we know! So I dig out the few pics I have of me from that decade to start my own trend (or not I don’t care). I’m the little one by the way ☺️. If you want to see what you looked like, have a look through your old photos, go ask your Mum if you have to, I bet she would love to look at them too. Or recreate your own now - the 80s would have to be one of the easiest decades to play dress ups in and create something fun and unique. If you dig out an old photo let me know too I’d love to see it!
