DAY 64
Under the vast Western Australian sky, Lesmurdie Falls unveils its post-rainfall magnificence. The air hums with the energy of soaring waters, each cascade a testament to nature’s profound artistry and the ultimate peace it bestows. This is not merely a sight, but an immersive experience where the wild heart of the land beats in full, glorious rhythm.
To freeze these moments while letting the water dance in a painterly blur, I relied on my faithful Canon EOS R6 Mark II and the sharp RF 50mm F1.8 STM. Anchored by the steadfast K&F Concept 90-inch tripod and masterfully controlled by the K&F Concept Variable ND Filter, I was able to extend exposure times and weave light into liquid silk.
A peek behind the curtain of creation for these captures:
Aperture settings often varied from f/8 to f/16, for a blend of sharp detail and artistic blur.
Shutter speeds, extended from 3.2 to 6.0 seconds, transformed the rushing water into ethereal streaks.
With ISO kept low, between 100 and 250, the clarity of every detail was preserved.
The 50mm focal length allowed for a beautiful, natural perspective throughout.
Lesmurdie Falls, after the heavens wept, stands as a vibrant, living masterpiece. An ode to the raw, untamed beauty that surrounds us, offering a sanctuary of ultimate peace and an unparalleled connection to nature at its very best.
