Because every baby I meet I cherish the fact that I've been welcomed into one of the most precious weeks of their lives.
New parents, new baby and a whole new world that I get to be part of.

I still think about each and every baby I've photographed for many years to come. I'll probably still even post them.
The memories live on with me too!

Booking a photographer should feel comfortable, connected and suited to you.
It's less like hiring a service, and more like welcome a safe person into your home in the most disoriented week of your lives.

Find someone you vibe with, who will become what feels like an old friend visiting but also just happens to be capturing the most special moments for this at the same time.

A photographer who will turn up to the hospital with your favourite coffee when you're 24hours postpartum just so you can actually enjoy a hot drink in peace.

I'll be there with you every step of the way, from the beginning until long into their childhood even if it's just in my memories.

Things every dad should know about family photos (send this to him, I'll say it for you)

- your wife wants you there, please don't make her ask twice. If she is wanting photos that's because it's means something to her, and one day it'll mean something to you too.

- you don't even have to organise anything, you just have to be present. Wear the outfit she's chosen, turn up and have fun with the kids!

- the photo for your throwing them in the air is probably the one she'll frame. Yes, the fun ones! You don't have to stand there awkwardly and say cheese.

- the photos of you cuddling your kids will mean more to all of you in 20 years than you realise. Because seriously, one day photos is all you'll have of these moments.

- 1 hour, once a year is all she's asking for you to commit. It's nothing. There's 8760 hours a year. I'm sure you can give her one.

- being in the photos is a gift for the whole family.

- this is a letter from your wife, she didn't know how to say it so I did.

Now go do the photoshoot, better yet - organise it for her.
