There is something so special about welcoming a new baby home.

These sessions aren’t always calm or perfectly posed. In fact, they’re often beautifully chaotic. Little ones full of energy, cuddles in between the wriggles, tiny hands reaching for baby, and moments of love unfolding in the middle of it all.

That’s why I love in home sessions so much. They capture your family just as you are. Because amongst the chaos are the moments that matter most. The proud big brother and sister, the gentle kisses, the tiny fingers wrapped around baby, and the love that fills every corner of the home.

This beautiful family of five welcomed their newest little boy with so much love, and it was such a honour to capture these first memories for them.

You don’t need to be perfect to have beautiful family photos.

You don’t need perfectly behaved kids.
You don’t need everyone smiling at the camera.
You don’t need the “perfect” moment.

Because the magic is already there.

Just like this session — the moments they’ll treasure most weren’t the ones where everyone was looking at me and smiling.

It was the splashing in the water.
The little hands reaching out.
The cuddles.
The laughter.
The chaos.
The love.

Of course, we always make time for that smiling photo looking at the camera — the one everyone wants for the wall.

But the photos that mean the most?
They’re the in-between moments.

The ones where you’re playing, laughing, holding your babies close, and loving on your family while forgetting the camera is even there.

That’s why my sessions are relaxed and play-based, with lots of movement, because movement brings connection, and connection is what makes your gallery feel real.

The joy, the love, the little moments unfolding naturally — that’s where the magic lives.

And this session is the perfect reminder that your family doesn’t need to be perfect.
