I try to make a little pilgrimage to Raeburn Orchards at least once a year, and today, due to it being my birthday (and thanks to the very welcome tradition of “birthday leave” at work) I got to spend the morning exactly how I wanted.
The storms over the weekend stripped most of the famous foliage, and the season is right at its end, but it was still nice to have a wander though the orchard - while I wasn't the only one out there, it was incredibly quite, which was nice (I really am not a fan of big crowds!)
Next year I’ll aim to visit a week or two earlier to catch the full autumn glow again.

🎉 Exciting news! After taking 2025 off (calendar wise!) my 2026 Perth/WA Calendars are officially off to the printers! They'll be hot off the press and ready to ship by early November — sneak peek screenshots below. 👀

🗓️ Each calendar is $25, with a sweet 10% discount if you buy 4 or more! Postage is extra - in Australia, ~$5 per - with discounts for more than 1; to USA, ~ $11 per, all sent via AusPost.

💡They are A4 sized, with the cover printed on 250gsm gloss artboard, and internal pages printed on 170gsm gloss art stock. Wire bound, with a hole for hanging. 🛟

🇺🇸 USA - Yes, I will be shipping to the US! 🌎✈️ Due to this being a super busy mailing period, I'll be mailing them out by mid-November (or so) to make sure they arrive in time for the New Year. 🎆

A little trip I took today, to Raeburn Orchards. This was a bit after it stopped raining (it was meant to rain/storm all day) so it was quiet and quite peaceful. I even enjoyed the most delicious piece of banana bread, in the cafe afterwards.

I have a milestone birthday on Monday, so I took today off, to enjoy a 4 day long weekend., with Monday being a public holiday. An excellent start to my birthday weekend. 😍

It's Wrens-day! Had a rare mid-week day off, thanks to one of my all-time fave bands, Belle and Sebastian, playing a Tuesday night gig (I'm too old to stay out late on a weeknight and except to be able to function at work the next day! 😆).
Anyway, we got up early this morning and headed off looking for the elusive Wren. After a bit of a walk, we decided we'd try again another day. But then, out of nowhere, this cutie appeared! Day made. 😍
