Dragancaor Creative I'm always on the lookout for people willing to model or talk about their shoes for my book - contact me if you'd like to be a part of it!

New & shiny, or old & broken/filthy, shoes from all walks are welcomed! =) Description? 5'4" camera toting self confessed geek! Okay, so a little bit more seriously, Iโ€™m a freelance photographer & published photojournalist.... & a qualified, experienced makeup artist (normal to spfx). http://www.dragancaor.net/

Iโ€™ve lived behind a lens now for 20 years & never leave the house without my camera. I

have 1 complete photo book, Life on the Lake, available through Blurb books ( http://au.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/1258874 ) & have another 3 in the works.... including the Shoe Project. The only thing more important to me than my camera is my passportโ€ฆ & my mildly psychotic cat, who never fails to bring me home from my travels. Another year, another FANTASTIC Balingup Medieval Carnivale!!!

The Leave I have been on is being extended slightly. Since Christmas Eve we've had three deaths to deal with, on top of a bunch of other stuff, & it's just a little too much to deal with while still being able to give 100% at work.
I need some time to process all this grief.

If you need to get in touch urgently please email me as I will still be checking that, but I will not be reading/replying to things on social media. Non-urgent emails will be read when I can, but may take a little while.

You can still book me in advance, but I wont be shooting or processing for the next couple of weeks.

Thank you for your patience & support Xx

I love that sometimes even my more serious photo jobs get to have a silly side. ๐Ÿ˜„

Are you following Swan SES' Countdown to Christmas? They're posting a fun/interesting fact from their year in review each day until Christmas.

In this countdown to Christmas, Swan SES had to say,
6 TYPES OF CALLOUTS!

This year our volunteers have attended 144 callouts. Those have been made up of 6 different categories โ€“ storm, search, fire support, flood, car vs house, & chainsaw.

85 of our callouts were Storm damage, which is what weโ€™re best known for (have raincoat, will travel).

We have also attended 30 Land searches, supporting WA Police, including one as far away as Albany.

We work alongside our local BFS, VFES, & FRS crews & have joined them 18 times this year for Fire Support taskings.

We have attended 7 Flood related jobs, 3 Car vs Houses, & have brandished our chainsaws once.

Just over four years ago this gorgeous couple married at the beautiful Caversham House. Sadly, the bride's dream garden photos were a wash out - with a massive storm on their big day making it too dangerous to shoot in the gardens. While they were really happy with the indoor photos we took on the day, the gardens very much felt like "the one that got away" for all of us.

Yesterday, we made it happen! ^_^

Breaking out their original wedding attire & accessories wasn't all that was needed. The hair stylist who did Tegan's hair on their big day is currently holidaying in Perth from London, her makeup was done by the same woman who did it for their wedding, & they had their original wedding photographer too (that's me! haha). It was a great big team effort!

The only difference was the weather was perfect!

We had a wonderful, relaxed shoot in the gardens at Caversham House & 4 years of marriage hasn't dulled these two in the slightest! They love each other fiercely, & that shines through in all their photos.
Bj & Tegan are a beautiful couple, & an entirely fantastic couple of people.

Here's to many more years, you two

One of the most uplifting things to hear in this line of work is, "My friend recommended you." As a small business, balancing the cost of advertising with getting that advertising seen while keeping pricing down is a tricky thing (read: almost impossible). When you guys mention to other people that you like what I do, or that I did well on a job for you, that's worth more to me than tea (which is a lot!). But the biggest thing about a referral, is it shows me how happy you are with what I did for you.
So thank you to those awesome folks who have spread the word about what I do. You're amazing

Epic wedding was epic!!
There were so many beautifully personal touches, & they let their personalities shine through to enhance traditions.
Father of the Year Award most certainly goes to Michelle's Dad for not just walking her down the aisle, but ensuring her dress was perfectly laid out & without bracken.

Today I have the utmost honour in photographing the wedding of two brilliant, creatively talented & special people. ๐Ÿ’–

I met Michelle & Daniel when they stepped up to help me by modelling for my WW1 project (the RSL WA & Legacy Australia fundraiser) at the beginning of 2015. Their photos formed part of my "Promise" tryptich. Their chemistry on set was phenomenal & the photos were a breeze to capture. So when they asked me to be their photographer for the most important day of their lives together I was over the moon!

The weather is perfect, the light looks divine outside, the couple are madly in love, & today's chapter in their story is going to be absolutely beautiful ๐Ÿ’–

These guys & girls really are the absolute bees knees! I had so much fun taking these photos on Wednesday night!
