So much to say about this stunning wedding day of Demi + Shannon at Kingroad Brewery. This day day was a long time in the making, and even though storms threatened, the skies held out just for us to capture these beautiful memories together. Everything from start to finish could not have been more intentional, more magnificent or more precious! Well done to the team who pieced this stunner together.

What's your thoughts on being in front of a camera? Are you super confident, or a little shy / awkward? I have couples telling me all the time that they feel super awkward around a camera at the best of times and that this is a main concern on their wedding day. That's more common than you think! This is why although we'd all those those "candid" shots, not everyone can create their own content on the fly and that's why I step in a touch to help facilitate these moments, keeping things feeling and looking natural and spontaneous. And most of the time, couples end up saying they really enjoyed the time together and are surprised at how great their photos turned out despite their awkwardness. So.... be confident, relax, and trust your photographer.

How to create those candid moments everyone wants, without the posing? Simple... I help you as a couple connect and slow time. Being intentional with the time together using little ques and prompts helps to set the scene and give you both something to do and think about, so that the focus is off the camera and more on your connection and love for each other. I incorporate appreciating each other in different ways, along with thanking, dreaming and talking about special moments and sharing thoughts, oh and of course a good couple of slow long lingering kisses in there too. This creates a relaxed space and generates those moments that keep things feeling real and honest. So... let's do it, let's create some magic together ❤️

Traditional all white dress or not? This wedding dress by English Rose Bridal is something else, dont you think? I love it's uniqueness and something other than just the one single colour. The colour pallette that the foral design adds to a day is subtle but intentional. Perfectly complimenting the Wedding Ceremony setting at the ever stunning Sandalford Wines with pastel greens, pinks and more. Are you more of a traditional single colour dress gal or are you keen to go against the norm and wear something unique on your wedding day?

I don't know about you but I'm dreaming of Summer already! My cold fingertips and icey watery eyes are screaming for warm balmy summer days. It hasn't been a bad winter actually but still, it just re-affirms that I am defo a Summer Gal that's for sure. I'm drawing my motivation today from these two incredibly kind people, who were destined for each other and created the best wedding day ever, not long ago. I just love the suit colour choice and floral selection and how it draws on those warm summer colours. What colours are you dreaming about for your wedding day?

Let's talk about AUGUST WINTER WEDDINGS for a minute. I've noticed that while August used to be a "quiet" time in the Wedding Industry, it seems that it's becoming more popular these days. What's your preference? WINTER WEDDING, or PERTH SUMMER WEDDING. In other words, would you rather deal with the potential cold and rain on your say or the intense heat that summer bring? Either way, both seem to bring its own magic if I am honest. For example, this wedding shot in August last year, surprised us all with it's gorgeous weather, mixed with the crisp air and we had the perfect day for intimate bridal party portraits in the Australian bushland and hills that day. We only had one or 2 showers which we managed just fine. So whether you're a Summer person or a cosy Winter babe, create a day that's true to who you both are as a couple. And don't be put off by the weather either way!

Today is International Friendship Day and I find myself feeling really grateful for those in my life! But I am always on the lookout to making new friends along the way too. Some are not as fortunate and don't have a tribe of friends around them. It's always so comforting to be surrounded by good friends, but be sure to reach out today and be a friend to someone too! You never know, you could make their day!
