The hardest part about childhood is that while they're living it, you rarely realise it's slipping away. One day, you're carrying them everywhere, and the next, they're running ahead of you. The little hands that once reached for yours grow bigger, the baby cheeks disappear, and the routines you thought would last forever quietly become memories.

Time doesn't slow down for us to take photos. But photos do something remarkable, they let us revisit the moments that passed too quickly. They remind us of the gap-toothed smiles, the cuddles, the laughter, and just how small our children once were.

Years from now, these images won't just be photographs. They'll be a way back to a season of life you'll wish you could visit one more time.

I know when I get home, the first question will be: “So… how was Antarctica?”

And honestly, I still don’t quite have the words.

It’s untouched. Peaceful — in a way that feels worlds apart from everything happening elsewhere. Quiet and overwhelmingly beautiful.

I feel incredibly privileged to have experienced it.

A powerful reminder of why I prioritise seeing the world in the first place.

I hope one day you get to experience it too.

Now, back to reality — capturing love stories and weddings again soon. I’m getting very booked and it’s shaping up to be a busy season, and I honestly can’t wait.
