Well it’s been a while! Having finally moved into our new build, and starting a new job, I’m finding more time to get out and get back into photography.

I’m a little rusty!

But here is my first stacked lightning image from the storms on Tuesday 30 April. The weather in Perth has been amazing for Autumn, so with these storms came some much needed rain. ☔️

P.S. That ‘thing’ in the ocean is apparently a dredger for laying of pipeline etc for the desalination plant that is being built at Alkimos. Made for a nice photo at least!

I was a little late to the lunar party last night, coupled with cloud and it still being light when it began here, I managed a couple of shots after it had started.

It was good to dust off the camera and refresh those night photography skills!

It’s nice to be finally prioritising my photography again. And what better subject to utilise but a storm over the beach!

Yesterdays storm was a mammatus lovers dream! This same storm cell produced a small tornado at Lake Grace WA.

Looking forward to getting out and exploring this huge state with so many stunning photographic opportunities. 😊

So after the uproar from my last post (‘Eeek take that down or I’ll de-frend you’ they said 🤣), I decided to take a break from arachnid photography and get back to landscapes (well for a minute anyway 🤣). Beautiful drive out to Harden today. I’ve been in the Canberra region for 12 years and this was my first visit. I should get out more! Oh wait.... 😷😂

I’ve got a long way to go with Macro Photography! But was a little bit excited to find this little guy in our laundry which was great practice... ISO was a little high so quality isn’t great. Need to get used to using a tripod!! @ Queanbeyan, New South Wales
