With Google changing its search algorithm reviews are the secret sauce. I compete against two businesses. One is a huge empire, the other, a former nuts and bolts salesman that leases virtual city offices to rank number one magazine, , ,
I work from home and guarantee my work. Clients like and and the famous , , amongst many others. It is wonderful to ace page one, number one on , with another 5 star review.
Google picks up and quotes reviews from . Recently I helped a client and refused her offer for payment and helped her solve her problem with a few days of my time and direct contact with Google.
She was taken aback, as any other Perth company offering in Perth, would have billed her and taken her money.
I'm old-school and offered her a trade.
Write whatever you want in a review on Google Maps. Rate me whatever you feel, and we we will call it quits.
Well originally " " just dropped me a 5 star review, for which I was grateful and said thank you.
Today I revisited her review and found that she had gone the extra mile.
Her review put me above my competition.

1 ) Reviews are the secret sauce for a Google post on Google Maps.
2 ) Some people are worth forgoing a 4 figure bill, for when they are genuine and need help.
I believe any other Company would have taken her money and slept well that night.
Easy money.
I'm not a user.
I don't use people and althogh I spent daysD helping her, I didn't charge her for my time.
I asked only her honest review on my efforts and customer service.
It was up to her.
Result:
Despite asking for unersonalised results, Google understood that her review was genuine and raised me above the all in company and the former nut and bolt salesman with a city centre virtual office, and placed me number 1, on page 1 of Google search results.
After 28 years in business, I am grateful that some people still have ethics and respect.
