2023! What a year for KHP 📸

To every single person who supported me and my little dream, my business. Who booked a session with me. Who liked a post. Commented on a post. Sent me words of kindness, encouragement & support. Allowed me to use them as a sounding board or gave advice. No matter how loudly or silently you supported me I am and always will be eternally grateful.

Capturing your precious moments in time. Your milestones and love, genuinely brings me nothing but joy!

Our third session together 🥰

When Claire came to me asking if they could do a quick outfit change, in to pyjamas, at their family photoshoot for their annual christmas card, of course my answer was a hard yes!

In home newborn sessions.

Designed to be relaxed and in the comfort of your own home, where everything you need is right at your finger tips.

My newborn sessions have a lifestyle feel where we capture real life moments in an organised manner. If your space allows for it. We can use any part of your house. From the lounge to the kitchen to the master bedroom. We can start out the front and end up out the back, the choices are all yours.

As long as there is a source of natural light we can use any space and a small section from it.

If your home doesn’t permit for an in home newborn session. I can happily assist you with a location south of the river. A beautiful home designed to be used for photography and by creators. It has the perfect balance of aesthetics and a lovely cosy feel. Just ask when you enquire and I can tell you all about it.

My one and only rule that I have at my family photo shoots is that they are all child led.

That’s right, we, the adults take the lead of the children and let them guide the course of the photoshoot.

Why? Because when our little ones are allowed a little bit of leeway, games and play they enjoy the photoshoot so much more which in turn means less chance of tantrums and tears, and, it’s the perfect opportunity for them to make some core memories with you.

When they’re allowed to run, skip, jump, be tipped upside down, bounce on their parents shoulders and being swung around we are giving them permission to be kids - doing the things they do in their everyday lives.

My sessions are not about sitting still, staring at the camera and giving me the same smile every single shot. That’s not natural for them or you.

So let’s let them be children. Let’s capture them as they are in this very moment, funny faces and all. Because one day, that play will be over and you will never get that back.

Two, patiently waiting to become three.

Just 6 weeks to go until these two become mum and dad! Oh the memories of ‘the waiting to eagerly meet you’ stage of pregnancy.

Capturing your bump, I promise you, you’ll never regret it. It’s such a fleeting moment in your life (only 9 months long) then it’s done, all over red rover. And, though it can be challenging on your mind and body - believe me when I say, you will miss it.

Capture it, every last bit of it! Not a day goes by (especially when I have the pleasure of capturing your bumps) that I don’t regret not getting my own maternity photos.

No two sessions are the exact same, so why would they look the same!?

You can easily see from my grid, that no two sessions look the exact same.

Why? Because no two families are the exact same. No two motherhood journeys are the exact same. No two pregnancies are the exact same. No two couples are the exact same - you get my gist!

Your session is uniquely yours and yours alone. When I am in the moment capturing you - I am not thinking about how my session looked last week so let’s recreate that. I am solely focused on you and your family and capturing your magic.

A moment for this beautiful boy mum on my grid. Three wonderful (and full of energy) boys to love and watch grow in to incredible young men.

This was another session that had to be rescheduled multiple times due to horrible weather and sickness! It was a very gloomy over cast Perth day, but we pushed ahead and captured their magic, their bond and it turned out just perfect.

I love that mums are taking charge and booking in the motherhood sessions! I love that you realise the importance of images of just you and your children, I love that you want memories to cherish of the humans you created, carried and birthed. That you realise you deserve, to, too be in the photos.
