📍DALMENY NSW & SURROUNDS My first memory of my interest in photography is of devastation after accidentally exposing a roll of film which resulted in losing all my images from a family trip when I was about 11 years old. This experience helped me d

evelop the skills I needed to deliver this same devastating news a few years later to the customers whose wedding, holiday, and maybe even birth images were destroyed due to the occasional ‘old school’ photo processing machine malfunction during my many years working for Kodak. I think that would go much differently these days... 🤣

During this time, I also had a stint as a sound recordist for a freelance camera man, our main work being for Channel 9 in NSW. I attended many photography courses, while photographing pets, landscapes, my lifelong bestie, and with a few weddings here and there. My interest in photography continued during my few years in the fitness industry that followed, and for the last 14 years, (wow, how old am I????🤣) I’ve maintained a role in what I like to call my ‘stops me from starving’ job. Due to the amazing advances in technology, qualifications aren't required now as they once were. During these recent years where we all had a lot of time on our hands, I decided to formally study photography. I believe I have developed my own ‘style’ which I describe as natural and minimalistic
My goal is for people to look at my images and know they are mine, and not just because my watermark is on them..🤣

My love is for outdoor photography be it landscapes,seascapes,
and portraits of pets or people. I love being out in nature working with natural light and the challenges it presents. Through Sarah Cogdon Photography I offer outdoor portrait sessions and many of my landscapes as well as my ORARUM inspirational images are for sale. Sirius Dog Business is my new venture where pet photography is a part of it but there are other offers currently in the works. All portrait sessions, pets, or people start from $299.
