I’m always dreaming up new ideas, but a beach photoshoot with horses was definitely one of the wilder ones.

I’ve photographed horses before, but getting them onto an open beach is a whole different experience. They’re beautiful, unpredictable, and honestly harder to direct than a tired toddler 😂

We had so much fun creating these images, and the results were absolutely worth it ! These are but part 1 of this session 😮‍💨

I might not be a horse girl, but if you are and you’d love to include your horses in your session, count me in !

Kenzo was one of the very first little babies to ever visit my tiny studio, and now here he is… the coolest, proudest big brother to baby Zaylen. 🤍

Watching families grow will never lose its magic. One moment I’m cuddling a tiny newborn, and before I know it, they’re running around stealing kisses, making us laugh, and showing off their new role as big sibling.

The chaos, the cuddles, the constant movement, the unsolicited kisses and giggles… it’s all so beautifully wholesome. These are the moments that make my heart happiest. ✨

Who said we can’t have golden light throughout winter ✨ The word “frothing” isn’t often used in my vocabulary but I can tell you now I was absolutely frothing over the light at this location and how gorg this couple looked 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 Did you know, sessions by the coast throughout winter are often better than in summer ! With the potential to reschedule or shuffle around rain we usually get gorgeous evenings like this where the wind is calm, the sunlight is gorgeous and we get to shoot a little earlier and be home for dinner !

So if the dreary winter months have you concerned about booking in, let this be your sign to not hesitate 🫶🏼

Choosing the right newborn photographer is about more than just loving pretty photos. You’re trusting someone with your brand new baby (and let’s be honest… often a toddler running purely on snacks and chaos 😅), so experience really does matter.

Look for experience with newborns, a strong focus on safety, a calm and comfortable environment, and someone confident guiding not just baby, but parents, siblings, and busy toddlers too. A consistent style matters, but so does how you actually feel during the experience. Not to float my own boat, but one of the things my clients mention time and time again is how comfortable, supported, and genuinely looked after they felt during their session… and honestly, I think that emotion always finds its way into the images. Because beautiful photos are one thing, but photos that actually feel like your family? That’s what matters.
