There’s something so strange and beautiful about maternity.
You already love this little person so completely… and yet you haven’t even met them.
You wonder what they’ll look like.
Who they’ll be.
Whether they’ll have your eyes, their dad’s smile, a head full of hair.
And while you’re so ready to finally hold them, there’s also something special about this last little chapter where they are still completely yours.
Tucked safely beneath your heart.
One day, this belly will feel almost impossible to remember.
Which is why I think maternity photos become so special with time.
They hold onto the very beginning of someone you were already completely in love with.
