Well… things are about to get a little chaotic around here. 😂

Between the day job, family life, photographing your beautiful humans and getting ready for Christmas Minis, the next few weeks are shaping up to be busy.

But this is my favourite time of year to be behind the camera. Full calendars, gorgeous families, little ones growing up far too quickly, and getting to capture all the in-between moments that make it worthwhile.

Christmas Minis are just around the corner, and I can’t wait to get started. 🤎

Now, if only someone could organise the rest of my life as well as I organise a photoshoot…

Apparently I still need to remind myself that having a photography business involves actually posting the photos. 😂

I’ve been very quiet on here, but very much still shooting away behind the scenes.

And I couldn’t think of a better session to pop back up with than this one — a beautiful family session with grandparents included.

Because these aren’t just photos of the kids.

They’re photos of their people.

The people they’ll grow up remembering. The people they’ll want to look back on. The people who make up their story.

And that’s exactly why I love what I do.

No elaborate locations.

Four kids. Two very tired parents. One pretty bloody beautiful season of life. 🤎

This is what I love about family sessions.

Not everyone looking at the camera.
Not everyone sitting perfectly still.
Not every little person cooperating.

Just them.

The cuddles, the chaos, the tiny personalities, the wandering off, the baby snuggles and all the in-between moments that make this particular version of their family theirs.

Because one day, these kids won’t all fit on Dad’s lap.
And Mum won’t be carrying a baby.
And this exact kind of chaos will be long gone.

So we document it while we’re in it.

Happy birthday to the man who keeps our family running, can fix almost anything, and somehow still thinks every trip to Bunnings only needs “one thing” 😂❤️

Life with you is never boring — between the kids, the chaos, the questionable decisions and all the “quick jobs” that somehow turn into a full-day project, there’s never a dull moment 😂

You’re the one I want beside me through all of it. Thank you for being the dad you are, for always having our backs, and for putting up with me… which honestly deserves a birthday present of its own 😂

I hope you have the best birthday. You deserve all the good things today (although don’t get too excited, I still have expectations for the rest of the year 😉).

Studio sessions don’t have to feel stiff, posed or overly produced.

This family came in, we slowed things down and let them settle into the space.

The kids played.
We cuddled.
We laughed.
We made a little room for them to just be themselves.

That’s how I like to photograph families — with enough direction that you never feel awkward, but enough freedom that the real moments have somewhere to happen.

No rushing.
No expectations.
Just you, as you are.

And yes — these are intentionally not overly themed Christmas sessions.

Think beautiful natural locations, golden light, your kids being their wonderfully chaotic selves and photos that actually feel like you.

Once your session is confirmed, a 25% non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your spot, with the remaining balance due prior to your session.

I spend a lot of time behind the camera telling people they don’t need to be perfect.

So here’s a reminder that I’m definitely not either 😂

I’m the girl who wakes up before sunrise for the gym, makes questionable costume choices, has dogs permanently attached to me, has a family who refuses to take a normal photo, and will 100% make a fool of myself to get genuine laughs out of you.

Because that’s the stuff I love capturing.

Not perfect. Not posed. Just real life 🤍
