Happy Easter all, I hope everyone is enjoying a nice little break with family.
Today I share with you a few shots from a little weekend away Down South with my hubby. It started on a dark and stormy note on the day we arrived and then within a day switched to calm and tranquil. The contrast between one day to the next was amazing. The first 3 images were sunsets, the last at sunrise.

It's not Australia Day without some fireworks photos, am I right? I didn't feel like battling crowds last night, so I decided on Lake Monger as the location for something different, where the fireworks became the back drop for the city. Here are a few of my favourite frames from the night.

Here's another from sunrise at North Beach. Some of my favourite things, the beach, a pastel sunrise (although this one was rather non-eventful), rocks and waves creating waterfalls. Winning!

I've been enjoying some trips to the beach lately, but as summer gets closer those early mornings are getting earlier and it's getting harder and harder to get up to enjoy them. This was taken a few weeks ago, at North Beach, just near the jetty. It was overcast, but the sunrise gave us some pretty pastel tones, and who can complain when you also get those green mossy rocks in the foreground.

There's no better way to start the day than watching sunrise and water cascade over rocks at the beach.
The alarm is getting earlier as we get closer to summer, but it's always worth it, whatever the conditions.
