To our lovely LW community,

We have some updates to share with you … Our location and services are shifting for the next few months.

Northbridge has been our home for three amazing years, but it’s time to change things up.

Unfortunately we could not agree on the terms of our lease and have decided to seek out a new home.

With change comes fresh opportunity, and we welcome your ideas for our next location.

In the meantime we will continue to offer printing, scanning and archival services from our home studio. Film developing will be on pause until we lock in our new space.

We are still in full swing at 188 Newcastle St for the time being. Come and say g’day, drop your film and collect your negs if you can.

WED 4 OCTOBER : last day to drop film for developing. (Mail-in orders should arrive by this date too please.)
SATURDAY 7 OCTOBER : last day open at 188 Newcastle St.

We are super grateful for your love and support over the years. We all feel very lucky to work with your beautiful images and can’t wait to be back soon with the next phase of Lab West. More from us to come!

Hey Thicc friends! Time for a quick update:

Life has been crazy lately, personally and professionally, and as a small business team of two, we’re sorry we’ve been slack on the ‘gram.

But we’re still here, thanks to your support that has kept us going since we began this adventure in 2020.

Our major suppliers Kodak and Fuji’s struggle with ongoing stock shortages, left us high and dry this year. No one likes an empty film fridge right. And those pesky price hikes? We’ve been taking punches left and right to our bottom line. Like most of you, we’re wondering when we‘ll catch a break.

Couple that with our lease coming to an end and our current location getting a fancy makeover from new tenants - it’s time for a change of scenery.

After a wonderful 2.5 years, we will miss Raine Square, but we are already on the hunt for a new home for Perth’s first film vending machine! Suggestions are welcome; reach out if you know where we should pop up next!

While it’s been hard work - we’re still here! We're taking this time to regroup and focus on our vintage cameras and how we can continue to serve the film community.

Expect more stock drops, insane sales (like our EOFY Sale happening now), and juicy updates on the vending machine saga.
