Holding on to their newborn bubble + life as a fresh family of 4 🫧

These photos now holding extra weight and significance; as since our session last month, this beautiful family has been faced with the heartbreaking news that their beautiful wife + mama has a difficult journey and big battle with cancer on her hands 😭, when they should just be focused on holding her babies 💔

We truly can never know when life is going to take an unexpected turn. So please, please don’t put off doing what your heart yearns for, to another time down the track ~ to another month ~ to another season ~ to some time in the future … when things are easier.

Because yes, while some things may get easier; unfortunately they can also get harder 🥺. And nothing is promised.

And what do we turn to, to anchor ourselves when times are tough?; and to remind us of the love and blessings that surround us?

As Elly said ~ we are grateful every day that we had these photos taken when we did.

Still swooning over this stunning session with Kaitlin + Scott and cannot wait to get stuck in to editing their whole gallery so I can show you the rest of what we documented 🥰

I’ve got space for 2 maternity sessions in the next month; so if you’re also waiting on your world to change I’d love to help you create a visual diary of how life looked and felt before baby.

Some stuff be seriously sliding 🫠🙈…
Especially during school holidays amiright? 😅

But while there’s always some stuff sliding, we’re out here doing our best to be surviving: and sometimes even thriving.

On the days where the kids get lots of time and attention; the editing and biz gets neglected. At least until late at night/early hours of the morning 🥱.
On the days where work is given priority, the kids spend way more time than I’d like on screens/watching TV and the house is seriously neglected 🙈.

Literally cannot do it all.
And would be completely unrealistic to expect ourselves to.
But it’s a constant journey of learning to embrace the chaos right?!

Hope these school holidays the balance is swinging in your favour of thriving rather than surviving!

A look into a few favourites >> few moments >> and the full gallery {swipe to the end} from one of my favourite sessions from the end of last year 🌅🫶🏼

My third time being lucky enough to photograph this gorgeous family, every session more relaxed and fun than the last 🥰

Mum told me she booked this session “to help remember how little the kids are as it goes so fast. It would be lovely to have more pictures of me with the kids as we have lots with their dad but barely any with me in them”.
Her vision for the session ~ “I’d love to have us hanging out and playing on the beach. Lots of cuddles and kisses!”.

Think we nailed it 🙌🏼😍
