When light IS the subject.
It’s exciting to see what light does to scenes. Creates abstract shapes, adds a warm glow or an eerie cold. Always shifting, moving and never exactly the same so to take a picture of light doing it’s ‘thing’ is always satisfying to me.
No passport required. 👌🏼

Street images.
The most interesting, sometimes intimidating but often rewarding kinds of photography I enjoy.
These photo walks get me out of the office into the city (or ‘burbs) and force me to really look at what goes on in those areas. Street photography is a never ending source of enjoyment and angst. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Everyday stories.
I’m really keen to further develop the way I see things in the ‘everyday’ world. People going about their lives immersed in their roles and tasks. I love documenting these people and their work.
Construction of road and rail facilities near my home is one of those places and it’s teeming with people going about their jobs largely left to it and even ignored by most passers by. I find that ‘ordinary’ extraordinary.cameras

Moon bites.
You see. It IS made of cheese!!
Today’s repost feature goes to Paul . The lighthouse nicely framed by a half eaten cheese moon makes a great picture and busts the mystery as to why full always looks so tasty; because it IS!!

US Country music sensation is coming to Perth Arena August 2023!
What does this have to do with the Perth Photography scene? I’m glad you asked. LC’s sell out concerts are photographed by David Bergman. Who’s David Ber….? Are you kidding?? David Bergman is a preeminent sports and live music action photographer hailing from Florida, USA. He has won numerous awards for his sports images and graced the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine any number of times in his long career. He hosts a YouTube channel, ‘Ask David Bergman’ a part of the AdoramTV family, where he answers all manner of photography questions. What he doesn’t know about photography doesn’t matter.
Ok. So I’m posting this today because apart of David’s following and photographing Luke’s shows, he offers his ‘shooting from the pit’ photography course where he will teach all he knows about concert photography.
