Some cars aren’t just meant to be driven — they’re meant to be remembered.
A Portrait of Cars captures Western Australia’s car culture as it really is — lived in, a little imperfect, and full of story. A tactile tribute to moments that don’t hang around for long.
This one — The Roller — spotted outside the Cottesloe Hotel last week. The light was doing that rare April thing in Cottesloe — soft, golden, and just lingering long enough to make the most of it.
The Roller, owned by local legend Steve, is not tucked away or saved for Sundays. It’s driven. School runs, coastal laps, kids in the back, picnic tables down. That contrast is what makes it.
No setup. No staging. Just being there when the light hits right — and letting the camera do the rest.
