It’s been awhile since this ship last showed it self from beneath the sand. The Alex T brown is a hidden wreck found just north of yanchep, that only appears every few years after heavy storms and tides. The last I remember this much of the wreck being visible was way back in 2017!

Words by dad - 100 years last the planks be trod, 100 years last decks be swabbed, Proud ship ran foul, her keel hit rock, Ashore she washed, aground, land locked, 100 years since last she sailed Before the wind amongst the whales, Her timbers rotten, twisted, worn From sandy grave scoured out by storm
History exposed, run an eye while you can, Next big blow may bury her bones beneath sand.

A little teaser from a very special project I have had the pleasure to shoot.πŸ“Έ

Featuring Flick Palmateer and Warrick Palmateer. The film focuses on the paternal bond between Warrick and Flick, centered around their connection to the ocean.

It was almost 2 years ago that the bushfires of 2019 scorched our beautiful coastal lands. This image is one of my all-time favorites, mainly because of the story behind it, but also its otherworldly feel.πŸ”₯

Drifting amongst a different world. Eagle rays, sandy beaches, cliffs, currents, waves. The colours and rawness of WA's Southwest is truly mindblowing.
