One of the reasons I love winter in Western Australia is the return of the Scarlet Robin. Rarely seen in the warmer months, as they breed in deep, dense forests.
I love seeing the little flash of red as I trek through the bush trails on freezing cold mornings. It makes it all worthwhile.
